The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Commercial Fisheries is recruiting for a Maintenance Specialist, Bldg/Facility/Const, Journey 2/Lead located in Kodiak, Alaska! What you will be doing:
The Department of Fish and Game, Division of Commercial Fisheries is seeking a Maintenance Specialist in Kodiak, Alaska. This position is the sole maintenance mechanic responsible for the maintenance, installation, and repair of facility systems and their components at the Westward Region Fish and Game Near Island facility. This position also assists with maintenance at other facilities in Kodiak and surrounding communities.

Duties include a wide range, including but not limited to, making independent maintenance and repair decisions; installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing oil and gas fired boilers, mechanical systems such as ventilation systems, interior and exterior structural components, performing rough and finish carpentry and related construction, repairing or assisting with the installation of sanitary, storm, and domestic water lines, performing minor electrical repair and replacement.

The position also interacts with local staff on maintenance needs and requests and performs or arranges the work necessary to correct or repair facility issues.
