ICMS is looking for an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II who is responsible for the execution of all performance expectations, acceptable quality levels, safety, and technical requirements to provide helicopter maintenance services for the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak. This aircraft maintenance requirement includes scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, repair and maintenance of aircraft systems and subsystems, all flight inspections, inspection, overhaul, repair, and potentially other cosmetic and mechanical issues of the H-60s as they are identified.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform all scheduled and unscheduled corrosion related maintenance.
- Perform all Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) approved structural and composite repairs.
- Repair and maintain various mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on the MH-60.
- Repair and maintain various electrical, communication, navigation, and flight systems, subsystems, and equipment.
- The mechanic will be required to follow work orders, as assigned.
- Check a variety of complex technical guides to ensure they include up-to-date changes.
- Report errors and poorly presented or confusing information to the designated shift supervisor for resolution.
- Demonstrate or explain proper techniques, method of operation, and safety practices.
- Observe performance and work with the employee, leader, or supervisor to resolve problems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Clean, lubricate and maintain tools and equipment.
- Transport, store, or use HAZMAT during operations.
- Perform MPC steps and accurately complete MPC forms.
- Accurately input data into ALMIS or maintenance logs books, as directed by the designated shift supervisor.
- Hold a current Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license.
- Alternatively, if no aircraft A&P license exists, the candidate must have seven (7) years of rotary aircraft mechanic experience and have worked in an aircraft maintenance capacity within the past two (2) years.
- Recent aircraft mechanic experience within the last three (3) years.
- Rotary aircraft experience required with preference for the UH-60 airframe.
- USCG aircraft maintenance experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English.
Certifications:
- A valid state’s driver's license (with no major infractions) is required
- Current Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license.
All contractor personnel must be able to attain and maintain a Secret security clearance with the ability to pass a USCG background investigation to be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC); personnel must be U.S. Citizens.
