Position Overview
The Social Services Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing community-based program services that effectively meet the needs of clients and families. This role oversees grant-funded programs, coordinates services across internal departments and external partners, and works to maximize available resources while reducing service gaps. The position plays a key role in supporting community wellness, violence prevention, and access to critical support services.
Key Responsibilities

- Upholds KANA's Code of Ethics by conducting all professional activities with honesty, integrity, fairness, and respect
- Manages assigned grant-funded programs to ensure effective service delivery and alignment with community needs
- Implements grant requirements, prepares reports, oversees budgets, and ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and Tribal regulations
- Maintains relationships with funders, contractors, and community partners to support program success
- Monitors staff activities and program billing processes in coordination with the Grants Manager to ensure compliance and accurate reporting
- Coordinates services and referrals between program staff and community partners to reduce barriers and provide seamless support for families
- Collaborates across KANA programs to connect participants with available services and resources
- Identifies funding and resource opportunities that support program growth and align with KANA's mission
- Coordinates and supports community events, outreach activities, and program initiatives
- Prepares and submits grant reports and deliverables in accordance with funding requirements
- Advocates for violence prevention services and identifies opportunities to expand survivor support and program utilization
- Manages and audits client data systems (Apricot, TAZ, Visit Tracker) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and reporting integrity
- Identifies and supports professional development opportunities for staff to promote continuous quality improvement
- Facilitates group education sessions on topics such as dating violence prevention, bystander intervention, parenting education, and healing activities
- Oversees emergency victim services, ensuring all expenses are allowable, allocable, and reasonable under federal grant requirements (2 C.F.R. 200.303)
- Processes payments and invoices for emergency support services, including safety needs, childcare, and related assistance
- Participates in CCR, MDT, and other coalition or partnership meetings
- Develops outreach and educational materials to raise awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault prevention services
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships with community stakeholders, including Tribal programs, state agencies, shelters, and service organizations
