Position Summary:
The Senior Compliance Analyst is a pivotal role, responsible for the day-to-day execution of the STARPLUS ENERGY LLC internal compliance program. Reporting directly to the Senior Counsel, this role focuses on operational and regulatory compliance. The Senior Compliance Analyst identifies risks, develops controls, and monitors adherence to the laws and internal policies that govern the company. This role is responsible for ensuring that factory operations, supply chain, and corporate governance align with company policy, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Compliance Program Management:
Implement and manage the company's internal compliance framework and risk-based oversight. - Corporate Governance Support:
Administer the company's Compliance Committee; maintain the repository and tracker of company contracts; and assist the Senior Counsel in the administration of the legal function.
- Process Integration:
Partner with cross-functional teams to "bake" compliance into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and RASICs and evaluate compliance impacts on processes, systems, and programs. - Operational Oversight:
Perform regular risk assessments and gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities in manufacturing and corporate processes. - Regulatory Tracking:
Monitor and interpret applicable federal, state, and industry regulations; assess their impact on company operations. - Training & Ethics:
Develop and deliver practical compliance trainings to promote awareness of compliance expectations, ethical conduct, and regulatory obligations. - Champion Culture:
Champion a strong compliance culture, ensuring employees understand their responsibilities and feel empowered to speak up; regularly promote compliance policies and initiatives across the company. - Issue Resolution:
Manage the lifecycle of compliance findings, working with department heads to implement root-cause solutions and track them to completion. - Reporting:
Document and communicate compliance issues and audit findings clearly to the Senior Counsel;
Prepare and present compliance reports to senior leadership and relevant committees; advise senior leadership on emerging risks, trends, and recommended actions. - Policy Development:
Support the creation of policies and documentation that address the most significant risks inherent in the organization.
- Flexibility:
Perform other duties as modified at any time to meet evolving business needs.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' professional experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, legal or operational risk within a manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of compliance frameworks, regulatory environments, and risk management principles.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex initiatives.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- This role may require travel, with reasonable prior notice (domestic and/or international).
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar industry-recognized credential.
- Direct experience working within a corporate legal department or under legal supervision.
- Direct experience working within a complex, multi-stakeholder organization; manufacturing, startup, high-growth, or joint-venture company.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing operation processes and procedures.
- Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment.
