CLASSROOM AIDE – PART TIME – MEDICAL OR DENTAL ASSISTANTS – MORNINGS & EVENINGS – UP TO 9 HOURS/WEEK

Location: Kokomo, IN (Campus based, not remote)

Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Classroom Aide to support medical, dental, or veterinary education. The role is part‑time with flexible morning and evening shifts, up to nine hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Assist primary or secondary instructors in classroom instruction and student tutoring (individual and group sessions).
  • Provide support with computers and other technology in the classroom.
  • Set up labs and perform other classroom preparation tasks.
  • Help with hands‑on activities and non‑teaching duties as assigned.
  • Lead tutoring sessions as scheduled by the Associate Director.
  • Assist with restocking, cleaning, and orientation prep tasks.
  • Proctor nursing exams following established guidelines.
  • Work under direct supervision of the Associate Director and with support from full‑time instructors or other faculty.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward faculty, classmates, and tutees.
  • Protect confidentiality of student information and uphold academic integrity.
  • Escalate issues that exceed the aide’s ability to campus leadership.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Ross Medical Education Center program as a Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant, or Veterinary Assistant; or graduate from a diploma or degree program outside Ross with at least one year of work experience in the allied health field.
  • Possess National MA certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, CMAA, NCMA) or National DA certification (CDA, RDA) a plus.
  • Have sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to meet student needs, with reasonable accommodation for disabilities.
  • Have sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, and use office equipment, with reasonable accommodation for disabilities.
  • Communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings.
  • Know the materials that will be taught and be able to use and communicate Ross curriculum.
  • Adapt quickly in a fast‑paced work environment.
  • Use current technology to maintain student records (e.g., Microsoft Office, Campus Vue).
  • Achieve or maintain credentials and/or licensure within expected time frames.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in manner, dress, and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor.
  • Remain objective and treat all students equally.
  • Pay attention to detail and commit to quality.
  • Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
