Position Purpose
Manage all elements of the designated academic program, including enrollment management, program administration, instructional quality, and human resource management, ensuring coordination with academic and non‑academic departments. Provide quality and engaging instruction in all delivery methods and formats within specific academic programs, give timely and meaningful feedback to students, engage students outside of class to support the curriculum, and contribute to student retention and completion initiatives.
EssentialFunctions
- Instruction: Deliver assigned classes using effective pedagogy and technology; develop and maintain curriculum and course materials; maintain student records and grades; manage a conducive classroom environment; facilitate achievement of program learning outcomes; use the Learning Management System to support teaching, learning, assessment, and communication; ensure knowledge of emergency and safety procedures.
- Retention and Student Success: Provide academic coaching and monitoring; document student performance; intervene with tutoring or referrals; maintain posted office hours; promote student recruitment, retention, and completion.
- Professional Development: Participate in scheduled training, onsite industrial experience, self‑study, and scholarly activities; stay current in pedagogy, digital technology, and related teaching tools.
- Community Relations and Business Outreach: Conduct community service activities; develop community/industry contacts to advance college relationships.
- Institutional Support: Join committees and task forces; support accreditation and grant projects; attend campus‑wide and departmental meetings; assist with career services and alumni activities; support program/department chair.
- Enrollment Management: Review program data; lead actions to improve retention; develop internships and experiential learning; ensure quality of dual credit courses; create course schedules that maximize classroom utilization.
- Program Administration: Complete annual program review; analyze trend data and resources; engage employers, deans, and statewide curriculum committees; oversee advisory committees; manage equipment purchases when applicable.
- Human Resource Management: Coordinate recruitment, evaluation, and development of full‑time and adjunct faculty with HR; review and respond to faculty, staff, and student issues.
Pay Range: $45,000–$52,000 base salary per academic (9‑month) year; additional compensation available for administration days and chair days; summer contracts are optional and available based on enrollment and staffing needs.

Minimum Qualifications- Baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Licensed Registered Nurse with an unencumbered license in the state of Indiana.
- Minimum two years of licensed nursing experience, at least one year in long‑term care services.
- Approval as a program director with the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) and completion of required documentation.
- One of the following: completion of the required state training session including adult learning theory, or holding a current Workplace Specialist License granted by the Indiana Department of Education in any Health Sciences.
- Strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to instruction and faculty credentials as required by ASOM 7.1.
- Demonstrated appreciation, respect, and promotion of diversity of people, styles, and views.
