IB English Teacher – Central Middle International School (6-8)

Job Summary: Prepare students for a changing world in which they live; provide diverse learning opportunities using real-world projects and experiences with a global focus; receive ongoing training for International Baccalaureate (IB) Certification (summer and school year training required); revise curriculum to meet IB requirements; participate in district and building level professional development; collaborate with other IB teachers.

Qualifications:

Valid Indiana teaching license with middle school level certification in English required.

• Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning.
• Supervise students during school activities, field trips, and breaks.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.
• Comply with school policies, state regulations, and ethical teaching standards.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during classroom instruction and supervision.
• Manual dexterity to operate classroom technology and equipment.
• Visual and auditory ability to monitor student behavior and respond to classroom situations.
• Ability to move quickly in response to student safety needs.
• Ability to perform light physical activities—such as bending, kneeling, and reaching—as required in a classroom setting, as well as lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
