Electrical Field Engineer – Industrial Systems & Commissioning – Direct Hire
Are you a hands-on electrical engineer who thrives in the field supporting commissioning systems, solving problems, and leading contractor activity?

NOTE:
This role is based in the greater Kokomo, IN area and required regional and national travel. Trips are typically Monday-Friday, with occasional extended travel (1-2 weeks) during installation and commissioning windows.
- Hands-on electrical engineering supporting installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial systems
- Travel-focused role working with contractors, controls engineers, and industrial customers across the U.S.
- A long-standing industrial equipment manufacturer serving heavy commercial and manufacturing environments
- Known for custom-engineered systems, strong technical teams, and durable equipment designed for demanding applications
- Provides full-lifecycle support from engineering/design through installation, commissioning, and field service
- Offers stable project flow, consistent customer demand, and a collaborative engineering culture
- Invests in employee development, cross-training, and long-term career progression
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of industrial electrical systems at customer sites
- Oversee and coordinate electrical contractors to ensure safe and compliant work execution
- Perform field troubleshooting and diagnostics on low-and medium-voltage equipment (480V-13.8K)
- Review electrical drawings (schematics, SLDs, panel schedules) and provide field markups/redlines
- Travel regionally and nationally for site work, typically Monday – Friday with occasional extended trips
- 3-7 years of industrial electrical engineering experience;
AutoCAD proficiency required, PE/EIT preferred - Experience with troubleshooting, commissioning, contractor oversight, and industrial electrical systems (LV/MV/VFDs, controls hardware)
