Overview
The primary role of the Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer is to work with the Engineering team to develop and launch processes that meet objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost for both new model (NM), non-new model (NNM), and adaptation programs. This role supports all Manufacturing Engineering functions for North America powertrain battery tray/frame, casting, components, engine and transmission programs. Travel may be required up to 21%–40%.
Responsibilities- Perform assessments for process changes and related investment requirements for cost studies.
- Understand engineering scope definition, Requests for Quotes (RFQ's), sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of air/mist/coolant collectors and filtration.
- Support and prioritize the Non-New Model (NNM) powertrain programs requests and ensure that approved programs are completed on time and within budget.
- Support all New Model (NM) program's facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installation.
- Support flow activities on programs ensuring successful implementation and tracking of the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, and Cost).
- Participate in the implementation of Stellantis Production Way (SPW) methodology, supporting all activities including deployment of advanced SPW tools and systematic root cause problem solving to address risks.
- Development/improvement of process and equipment standards related to facilities infrastructure.
- Support the Engine, Transmission, e-components (Electric Drive Module, Motors) or Chassis (Battery Tray, Cradles, Cross Car Beams) Manufacturing Plants located in Dundee, MI;
Trenton, MI;
Kokomo, IN;
Saltillo, MX;
Transmission Plants in Kokomo and Tipton, IN;
Casting Plants in Kokomo, IN, Etobicoke, ON, Toledo, OH, while maintaining a relationship with Global CoC initiatives. - Drive standardization across plants in all regions.

RequirementsBasic Qualifications:
- High school degree or GED and 3 years of experience in engineering or a related technical field.
- Ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentation in easily understandable formats.
- Ability to embrace cross-functional teams responsible for developing, specifying, building, and launching powertrain manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and address them to closure.
- Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning.
- Microsoft Office intermediate or advanced knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or technical equivalent.
- Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Preferred 5 or more years manufacturing experience; powertrain manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Preferred 5 or more years' experience in program management or multi-tasking environment.
