Job Description

Join a leading venture in Kokomo, Indiana, specializing in large-scale electric vehicle battery manufacturing. As part of the Infrastructure and Facilities Engineering team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the electrical infrastructure across a massive gigafactory campus. This position is crucial in supporting energy storage systems for various applications, ensuring that the manufacturing plant operates safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain and continuously improve the electrical infrastructure for safe and reliable plant operations.

+ Oversee power distribution and infrastructure ownership.

+ Analyze load demands, capacity planning, and redundancy and failover systems.

+ Maintain and update single-line diagrams and electrical models.

+ Support various systems including water, cooling, compressed air, boilers, and nitrogen systems.

+ Provide insight into new designs for production lines, facility expansions, and utility upgrades.

+ Perform energy audits and implement cost-reduction initiatives.

+ Collaborate directly with journeymen electricians on-site.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 5 years of electrical facilities or infrastructure engineering experience.

+ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

+

Experience with HVAC, chiller, air system, power system, clean room environments, and building automation systems.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in electrical facilities within medical, semiconductor, or battery manufacturing is a plus.

Work Environment

Work 30-40% of the time in an office setting at a computer and 60-70% on facilities equipment. The work environment is air-conditioned with a clean room setting in the primary buildings. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM with a one-hour lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kokomo, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $53.00/hr.
