2+ years of Environmental Specialist experience in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related scientific field
Equivalent combination of education and industry experience considered
Experience with environmental compliance and permitting
Knowledge of environmental management systems and regulatory requirements
Experience preparing compliance reports and responding to regulatory inquiries
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to develop and deliver environmental training programs
Eligible to work in the United States
Ability to work onsite in Kokomo, IN

Plusses:

Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification or equivalent
Experience supporting sustainability initiatives
Knowledge of climate change programs, environmental justice, and circular economy practices
Experience working within large-scale manufacturing or energy production environments
Experience supporting audits and environmental impact reduction projects

Day-to-Day:

Lead and optimize environmental management systems, standards, and procedures
Partner with facility teams to implement sustainability and environmental initiatives
Support environmental permitting for new and modified equipment
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Prepare environmental reports and regulatory submissions
Respond to environmental compliance inquiries and investigations
Provide environmental training and coaching to employees
Collaborate with project teams to support sustainability and climate initiatives
Monitor environmental performance and identify improvement opportunities
Assist with additional environmental and EHS-related projects as needed
