Responsibilities
The Continuous Improvement Lead is responsible for managing project prioritization and project deployment for the plant as well as managing and tracking all project activity to ensure the plant achieves financial goals. It is also the role of the Continuous Improvement Domain Leadto ensure that all tools and methodologies are deployed and applied correctly for all Domainsand centers in the plant.
Additional responsibilities include:
Managingprojectactivities to insure prioritized attack on plants top financial losses; deploying proper methodology to all levels of the organization; managing all plant Kaizen activities; leading and managing the Continuous
Improvement Teamto ensure proper deployment of methodology plant wide;leading
Shop Floor Management (SFM) methodologyat all levels of the plant;providing coaching on Kaizen methodology to all levels of the organization; ensuring that all Domainsare deploying proper methodology according to Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) standards; researching and developing learning materials on intermediate and advanced problem solving methods to be deployed to senior problem solvers and engineers; managing, developing, and tracking department's performance and devise strategies to maintain or meet corporate goals;
establishing and maintaining the documentation of processes by utilizing FCA’sStellantis Industrial System (SIS) tools; leading root cause analysis for vehicle build, warranty and other customer quality concerns; tracking and resolving new model launch key performance indicators; critiquing all Kaizens (Levels 1,2,3 &
4) to ensure tools are applied properly and methodology is followed; preparingforSISauditsto demonstrate and defend plants progress to SIScriteria; ensuring data integrity for all Kaizen activity; submitting corporate reports for all Kaizen activities in the plant.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5years' experience in operations management experience in ahigh-volume manufacturing environment,including at least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
- Must possessa working knowledge of advanced technical problem-solving tools
- Strong knowledge of Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) pillarmethodology and implementation or continuous improvementsystems,suchasTPS and Lean Manufacturing operation
- Demonstrated knowledge of statistical process control and process capability
- Proven experience applying the Kaizen methodology
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required
- Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to coach / mentor / develop team members
- Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead team
- Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Intermediate software processing knowledge with programs such as:
Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Previousdomainlead experience
- Previous experience working in a union environment.
