Lead Supervisor Cold Strip Mill

Lead and direct workforce and other CSM Supervisors in the day-to-day processing of material in a safe and efficient manner. Coordinate workforce scheduling, planned maintenance, product flow, safety improvements. Take care of day-to-day Bargaining Unit issues.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (Required), Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in Supervision, Management or Related Field (Preferred)

Experience:

Five years of supervisor and plant experience

Safety, Health, & Environmental (Required), Labor Relations (Required), Manufacturing Processing (Required), Business Analysis (Preferred), Specification Interpretation (Preferred), Mathematics (Required), Basic Metallurgy (Preferred), 5S (Preferred), Six Sigma/Green Belt Training (Preferred)

Role Responsibilities:

• Daily communication with all employees on safety expectations
• Prompt accident reporting, corrective actions, and follow-up
• Daily communications with Superintendent on safety, quality, productivity and cost
• Holding each employee accountable for their performance
• Assist Superintendent with spare parts inventory
• Ensure communication runs through all three shifts and maintenance
• Train and develop other CSM supervisors
• Track training of new employees
