Production Supervisor

Job Description

• Lead small work teams in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, unionized manufacturing environment.
• Ensure daily performance targets for safety, quality, cost, and delivery are met while fostering a high‑performance, safety‑focused culture.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and consistently apply work rules.
• Be available for any shift, including weekends, to meet overtime and production needs.

• Supervise 30‑40 hourly employees in a unionized environment.
• Maintain staffing levels, including managing call‑offs and reassignments.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, SIS, WCM, or similar methodologies.
• Coach, lead, and develop team members to improve performance.
• Collaborate with plant pillars and cross‑functional teams.
• Enforce consistent work rules and support a positive labor‑management relationship.
• Identify and resolve production issues promptly and effectively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Proven experience supervising or managing people.

• Manufacturing experience (highly preferred) in a manufacturing workforce.
• Prior experience leading a crew or production team.
• Experience working in a union environment.
• Background with Lean, WCM, Kaizen, SIS, or other CI methodologies.

• Union experience is not required; however, emotional control, professionalism, and strong communication are essential.
• Any Lean‑related continuous improvement experience is acceptable; SIS training will be provided.
