Production Supervisor – Manufacturing

Overview

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead small work teams in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for achieving daily production goals related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery while fostering a high-performance, safety-focused culture. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and consistent application of workplace policies. Initial training may be conducted on the day shift, with placement likely on the second or third shift.

Candidates must be available to work any shift, including weekends, based on business needs.

Job Title:

Production Supervisor – Manufacturing

• Supervise 30–40 hourly employees in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Maintain staffing levels by managing call‑offs and employee reassignments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, SIS, WCM, or similar methodologies.
• Coach, lead, and develop team members to improve performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support operational objectives.
• Apply workplace policies and work rules consistently.
• Identify and resolve production issues in a timely and effective manner.

• Proven experience supervising or managing employees.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Availability to work any shift, including weekends, as required.

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading a production team or crew.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.
• Familiarity with Lean, WCM, Kaizen, SIS, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
