Manager Nursing, Cardiovascular Services

The Manager Nursing, Cardiovascular Services oversees and directs the daily operational functions of the region’s inpatient and outpatient cardiac testing and vascular testing program, Cath Lab, EP, Short Stay, and Infusion.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that services maintain desired or expected accreditations.
  • Manage daily operations.
  • Provide adequate coverage in all areas through coordination of work schedules, patient schedules, and physician schedules.
  • Develop and update policies and procedures ensuring that staff operates within established guidelines.
  • Ensure quality services are provided, and resolve patient and/or physician concerns.
  • Track statistical information regarding volume, employee productivity, and prepare requested statistical reports on a regular monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Conduct employee performance management, including managing up, appreciation, documented coaching/counseling, corrective actions and work improvement plans in accordance with policies and established procedures.
Qualifications
  • Collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude towards problem-solving.
  • 5 (five) or more years of RN experience required.
  • 3 (three) or more years of management/leadership experience required.
  • 2-year/associate degree Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
  • Bachelor’s degree required within 5 years of assuming the role.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency required.
  • Certification required in relevant specialty or Nursing Administration within three years of assuming the role.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply Performance Improvement philosophy.
  • Ability to manage financial resources, including departmental budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate, be flexible, and problem-solve.
  • Operationalize network goals, objectives, and imperatives.
  • Understand the change process.
  • Demonstrate leadership competency in effectiveness standards.
