To assist the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, and Applied Science (AMEAS) with technical and organizational support in lab and classroom operations. This position complements the student's academic program by providing practical, hands-on experience in an industrial and skilled trades environment, including Engineering Technology, Industrial Electrical, Mechanical Engineering Technology

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Assist with preparation of lab materials and class setups.

* Maintain and organize lab equipment, parts, and materials (including consumables and non-consumables).

* Maintain a standardized system for tracking and replenishing parts, consumables, and supplies.

* Assist with inventory, ordering, and documentation for lab materials.

* Support maintenance and repair of machinery, welding, and training equipment.

* Maintain lab cleanliness and readiness for tours and instruction (wiping surfaces, removing scrap, organizing storage areas, etc.).

* Prepare and package equipment for transfer between sites, ensuring all components are included.

* Develop and maintain online tracking or visual inventory systems for trainers, parts, and consumables.

* Perform periodic checks of equipment and materials to ensure readiness and report issues as needed.

* Communicate with supervisors regarding repair needs, reordering, or prioritization of tasks.

* Other duties as assigned in support of lab and program operations.

General

Qualifications:

* Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

* Experience:

None required; customer service, lab, or technical experience preferred.

* Eligibility:
Must have a completed FAFSA demonstrating financial need, maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), and be enrolled in at least 1 credit hour of eligible coursework during employment or the coming term.
