Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager leads outbound logistics operations, including shipment planning, carrier/3PL management, and coordination of customer delivery requirements. This role is responsible for logistics cost control, pricing, and conducting monthly closing reviews, with performance reporting to executive leadership. The position drives process improvement, ensures compliance with DOT and NHTSA regulations, and supports IATF and ISO 9001 audits. Through SAP oversight, pre‑shipment verification, and cross‑functional collaboration, the Logistics Manager ensures accurate, efficient, and on‑time delivery.

• Oversee and actively manage outbound shipment dispatch planning and delivery schedule execution.
• Ensure and monitor compliance with DOT and NHTSA regulations.
• Manage logistics service providers (carriers, 3PLs, etc.) while establishing and implementing operational standards.
• Lead the review of customer delivery requirements and coordinate internal execution.
• Establish sales logistics processes and develop and implement operational strategies.
• Manage logistics pricing and perform cost structure analysis.
• Take full ownership of the monthly logistics closing review and validate data accuracy.
• Prepare and deliver logistics closing reports to executive leadership in a timely manner.
• Drive and execute continuous improvement and standardization of logistics processes.
• Support and participate in internal and external audits (IATF, ISO 9001, major customer audits).
• Directly support outbound shipment dispatch planning and scheduling for clients when operationally required.
• Oversee and process shipment documentation and SAP transactions for clients as needed.
• Review and verify pre‑shipment products and documentation for clients to ensure accuracy and on‑time delivery.

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in manufacturing logistics or SCM.
• Proven experience in outbound logistics and VMI operations.
• Hands‑on experience managing external logistics providers (carriers, 3PL, freight forwarders, etc.).

• Import/export and international trade experience preferred.
• ERP/SAP experience preferred.

This position operates in an onsite environment with office hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. However, these hours may occasionally change based on the delivery schedule.

Contract to Hire position based out of Kokomo, IN.

Pay range: $43.00 – $48.00/hr.

Fully onsite in Kokomo, IN.
