Drive diesel powered truck and trailer combination to pick-up, transport, and deliver scrap metal in a safe and timely manner focusing on safety and customer service;
Hook and unhook trailers from tractor cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear on semi-trailers;
Inspect trailers/truck for defects and ensure they are in safe operating condition before, during, and after trips;
Submit written report of truck/trailer condition at end of day or when switching equipment;
Maintain records for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage, and other required records;
Report accidents and highway safety hazards, delays due to breakdowns or emergencies;
Possess valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A and pass Federal DOT Drug Screen
