Job Description

The Fork Truck Driver at Sang-A America plays a crucial role in material handling and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. As part of a small team, the driver is responsible for operating forklifts safely to load, unload, and organize pallets while maintaining product integrity and adhering to safety standards. This role requires frequent physical activity including bending and crouching to manage products efficiently within a clean and organized environment.

Responsibilities

• Unpack incoming shipments carefully to prevent product damage
• Break down and dispose of cardboard boxes in designated recycling or waste areas
• Remove labels from containers or boxes to ensure cleanliness and reusability
• Handle products with care during storage, transfer, and shipping
• Safely load and unload pallets using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand
• Organize pallets in storage areas to maximize space and accessibility
• Inspect and secure pallets for stability with straps, wraps, or covers
• Sort and dispose of waste materials according to company and environmental guidelines
• Operate warehouse equipment responsibly and perform routine equipment checks
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and proper lifting techniques
• Maintain a clean, organized work area to prevent accidents and contamination
• Document box openings, product handling, and pallet movements accurately
• Report any issues with shipments, equipment, or storage conditions to supervisors
• Perform repetitive physical tasks and handle heavy items safely in various warehouse conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years in warehouse operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift operator certification
• Skills in forklift operation, material handling, and inventory management
• Knowledge of safety compliance, equipment maintenance, and waste management
• Strong physical stamina and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
