Role & Responsibilities
Create physically based (P ) textures for 3D assets
(Albedo, Normal, Roughness, Metallic, AO, Emissive)
Design and optimize materials for real-time engines (Unity preferred)
Ensure textures are performance-optimized for mobile & AR
Maintain visual consistency across assets and scenes
Collaborate closely with 3D Artists, Unity developers, and AR teams
Handle UV validation , texture atlases, and resolution scaling
Required Skills
Strong experience with P workflows
Proficiency in Substance Painter / Substance Designer
Good understanding of real-world material properties
Experience exporting materials for Unity / real-time rendering
Knowledge of texture optimization (memory, compression, mobile limits)
Strong eye for detail, realism, and surface storytelling
Good to Have
Experience with AR/VR or mobile 3D projects
Basic understanding of Unity Shader Graph / materials
Familiarity with HDRP / URP material workflows
Experience creating tileable materials
