Shop Mechanic

As a Shop Mechanic, you'll play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly every day. In this hands-on role, you'll help maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment, support inventory accuracy, pack PPE orders, assist technicians, run essential errands, and perform minor mechanical work, including assembling and repairing hydraulic hoses during downtime. If you enjoy variety, teamwork, and supporting a fast-moving operation, this is an excellent opportunity to make an immediate and meaningful impact.

Pay Range: $19 per hour

What You'll Do
  • Maintain overall shop organization and housekeeping
  • Put away tools and equipment in proper storage locations
  • Assist with inventory counting and cycle counts
  • Pack and prepare PPE orders for distribution
  • Assist the Tool & Equipment Manager with errands and operational needs
  • Run company errands, including picking up materials, parts, and supplies using company vehicles.
  • Assist with inventory organization, stocking, and material handling during slower periods.
  • Support technicians with tasks when needed
  • During downtime, minor mechanical work under the direction of experienced technicians, including assembling, repairing, and replacing hydraulic hoses and assisting with basic equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles for errands and material pickup
  • Follow all company safety procedures and shop protocols
  • This role will evolve over time.
What You'll Bring
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Basic tool handling and shop awareness
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn basic equipment maintenance and hydraulic hose assembly/repair.
  • Strong attention to detail for inventory and labeling
  • Dependability and willingness to support a variety of daily tasks
  • Valid driver's license (required)
  • Clean background check (required)
  • Strong work ethic and team‑first attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
  • Prior mechanic, shop, warehouse, or inventory experience is a plus but not required

Physical Expectations

  • Indoor warehouse facility with regular exposure to dust, fumes, odors, varying temperatures, and machinery noise.
  • Fast-paced environment with heavy machinery operation including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
  • Intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting materials up to 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to bend, squat, reach, push, and pull equipment throughout the facility from floor to overhead storage areas.
