Calendar: 205 days a year
Hours: Full Time
Salary: $15.69 - 18.49/hr Depending on previous experience in another school doing the same job.

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing student information to authorized parties, facilitating the enrollment and registration of students in the school district, and providing general clerical support.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Positive public relations skills
  • The ability to speak Spanish is a plus
  • Knowledge of Power School Student Information System is a plus
  • Demonstrates an ability to accomplish the major duties listed below.
Major

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Completes enrollment process for new students.
  • Completes transfer and withdrawal process for students.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of students’ enrollment and any updated information.
  • Assists in the review and evaluation of transcripts.
  • Maintain student cumulative files and ensure secure transfer of files.
  • Assist with requests and release of student records from a variety of agencies and school districts.
  • Maintain the master schedule, and support counselors with scheduling
  • Coordinate fall registration including preparing student schedules
  • Coordinate all school pictures and
  • Enter and maintain student records in an online student information system (Power School)
  • Collaborates with other departments to assist the school district in maintaining accurate student information and enrollment numbers.
  • Process demographic and attendance data accurately and according to the established procedure
  • Notify parents of student absences, and receive and file written excuses for student absences.
  • Manage student lockers, locks, and assignments.
  • Facilitate posting of student grades
  • Manage report card and progress report distribution and parent questions.
  • Manage substitutes, substitute requests, and coverage when subs are not available
  • Operate and maintain a variety of office equipment.
  • Place and answer telephone calls as needed.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences as appropriate.
  • Maintain school technology, including student and staff Chromebooks
  • Document damage to school technology and inform technology staff.
  • Maintain school social media presence (School website, Facebook account, Twitter account, etc.)
  • Maintain school public relations and communication with parents and the community.
  • Backup and support Office Manager / Bookkeeper position
  • Act ethically and confidently in all aspects of employment.
  • Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive encouraging manner.
  • Know and follow district policy and chain of command.
  • Perform such school-related duties as assigned by the principal(s)
