Hours:

Four ten‑hour days (Tuesday–Friday) 6:00am–4:30pm

We are seeking a full‑time Dental Assistant to join our team at the Idaho State Correctional Institution in Kuna, Idaho.

• Assist the dentist and/or dental hygienist in chairside dentistry under direct supervision
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments
• Maintain the dental operatory
• Operate radiographic equipment
• Perform additional administrative tasks as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a dental assistant
• Idaho dental assistant license or ability to obtain one
• Certification as an expanded‑duty dental assistant preferred; candidate must obtain one in the first year if not currently holding it
• Certification and/or prior experience in performing dental X‑rays preferred
• Current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check
