An appropriate Diploma & Bachelor’s Degree. A post graduate qualification in Human Resource Management. A Minimum 5 years appropriate experience. Knowledge of basic human resource policies and procedures. Liaising with various institutions involved in race relations, disability, gender, religion and health and safety. Knowledge of SAQA and NQF requirements. Experience in policy formulation, Interpreting employment legislation. A valid driver’s license.
KnowledgeExperience in interpreting and commenting on legislation, directive, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of drafting employment contracts. Knowledge of Human Resource legal prescripts, policies and procedures. Knowledge of SAQA and NQF requirements. Experience in policy formulation. Further experience in working with unions at organizational level. Understanding of all relevant legislations.

Key Performance AreasAssist with ensuring effective Human Resource Management and Development function. Assist in ensuring the effective, efficient, economical, and transparent administration of resources of ADA. Ensure the implementation of an Individual Performance Management System. Ensure that effective and appropriate steps are taken to prevent unauthorised, irregular and fruitless wasteful expenditure and losses resulting from criminal conduct and the reporting thereof. Render advice to the Corporate Services on human resource related issues.
Oversee the implementation of the Occupational & Safety Act. Develop and implement innovative service delivery solutions. Facilitate effective and efficient communication within ADA as well as with other stakeholders. Develop, implement and report on the Human Resource Plan, Employment Equity Plan, and Skills Development Plan. Manage the implementation of:
- Job Evaluations
- Appointments
- Transfers
- Terminations
- Staff Development
- Maintenance of personnel records
Developing, implementing, and monitoring of human resource policies and procedures, such as:
- Recruitment & Selection;
- Performance Management;
- Training & Development;
- Employee Assistance Programmes;
- Health & Safety;
- Disciplinary Procedures;
- Bursaries;
- Leave; and
- Other relevant policies and procedures.
