School Custodial Cleaner

Job Summary
The School Custodian performs general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K-12 school, college or university campus environment.

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required; on‑job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required

• Prior customer service experience
• One year of prior similar work experience

• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, mop floors
• Check trash receptacles, empty as needed
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
• Notify lead cleaner or manager of needed repairs or additions
• Maintain effective communication with clients, co‑workers, and supervisors
• Separate recycling into proper receptacles
• Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls
• Polish hard surfaces such as woodwork and stainless steel
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, using hand trucks if needed
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Perform incidental seasonal tasks such as sweeping walks, raking leaves, cutting grass, removing snow
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms (clean and polish as needed)
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
