Asphalt Plant Supervisor
Lead asphalt operations as an Asphalt Plant Supervisor with Suncore Construction & Materials! Are you an experienced leader with a passion for safety, production, and team development? Suncore is seeking an Asphalt Plant Supervisor to oversee daily plant operations, lead a high-performing team, and ensure quality asphalt production. ThingsYou'll Do
- Lead and develop plant personnel while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Coordinate daily asphalt production with paving operations, quality control, trucking, and management.
- Ensure asphalt mixes are produced safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
- Monitor plant performance, production rates, equipment reliability, and operating efficiency.
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and plant shutdowns.
- Troubleshoot production, mechanical, electrical, and material flow issues.
- Maintain inventory levels for aggregates, RAP, liquid asphalt, fuel, and other production materials.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety requirements.
- Train employees, support cross-training efforts, and build depth within the crew.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Communicate production status, equipment needs, and operational risks to management.
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in asphalt.
- 4+ years of experience in asphalt plants, aggregate production, paving, construction materials, or related industries.
- Working knowledge of asphalt plant operations and production processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended shifts as needed.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
