Local Fulltime Class A CDL Driver - experience with up to '53 and cab.

NO OTR - This will be onsite movement of numerous large units in 53' trailers between the datacenter and local warehouses on property. This is not a "park and drive" role. You will be expected to work with the Teams while not actually driving which will include the movement by hand into and out of the trailers and the warehouses and Data Center.

Physical work will be required.

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of 53’ trailer and cab driving experience
  • 1+ years of material handling in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center environment is a plus
  • Proficient in Windows, Apple (Mac and iPad) and peripheral devices
  • Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Understand all safety requirements and precautions
What You Will Need
  • Current valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check.
  • Current CDL A license
  • Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Card physical exam (US only).
  • Competent in operation of vehicles up to a 53’ trailer and cab
  • Competent in ability to transfer and hitch Cab to new trailer.
  • Understanding of ELD system and DOT requirements
  • Demonstrate a willingness to be challenged and learn new skills.
  • Computer, iPad, and iPhone literate
  • Ability to perform physical labor and work in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work with instruction as part of a larger team.
  • Initiative to complete tasks as assigned independent of the team.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • The primary responsibility of the Transport Service Driver is to drive safely to their destinations. They are also often expected to perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
  • Collect inventory/goods from the designated collection point and ensure that all Client documents to support the transfer of inventory/goods are in order and compliant with agreed processes.
  • Secure the inventory/goods in the vehicle in an organized manner that ensures safe and secure transportation of goods to their end point.
  • Provide input to the Transport Service Lead to support daily planning for the safest and most efficient routes taking into account factors like road conditions, traffic, local restrictions and environment.
  • Using GPS navigation apps and knowledge of the area to deliver inventory/goods to Client end point in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Transport inventory/goods by company vehicles in accordance with all safety procedures and protocol.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections daily.
  • Assist in the scheduling of regular maintenance checks on assigned Vehicles and informing management of any issues.
  • Process the capability to operate a vehicle in inclement weather such as snow or ice.
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of Inventory/Goods in good condition to client.
  • Always ensure professional interactions with Milestone and Client colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Unloading Inventory/Goods at the destination and ensuring clients sign the necessary paperwork to record the successful transfer of goods.
  • Knowledge of Transport Safety best practices and 5S for Safety and Organization.
  • Complete all assigned training and attend operational meetings in support of Transport Service execution.
  • Timely attendance to duties in a professional, presentable manner.
