Hours: Varied
Hourly Wage: $15.84 - $21.07/hr Depending on Experience

Job Summary:
Operate a school bus by assessing traffic and road conditions, monitoring student behavior and other factors necessary to safely deliver student passengers to and from school by adhering to state laws and school district policies. Drivers will be evaluated on driving and student management skills annually.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below
- Positive public relations skills
- Hold Class B with P & S endorsements or the ability to obtain a CDL Class B with P & S endorsements (Training available - paid)
- Have a clean driving record
- Pass a drug and alcohol test, criminal background check, and physical examination
- Be willing to attend and satisfactorily complete at least 30 hours of training as required in the State Transportation Manual
- Ability to use CB radio within the law of the FCC regulations.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be alert at all times and able to respond to emergencies. Must be able to lift and carry a child up to 50 pounds. Must be able to operate the special equipment on the school bus (wheelchair lift, wheelchair tie-downs, car seat, etc.). No use of a cell phone on the bus unless there is an emergency.
