The Asst. Finance Manager, will play a key role in shaping the company’s financial future, driving efficiency, and ensuring financial sustainability while supporting the Finance Manager in achieving strategic financial objectives.
This position will involve overseeing financial operations, improving financial reporting and supporting the CFO in developing and executing financial strategies.
The Asst. Finance Manager will collaborate with the Executives, Finance and Talent teams across various locations, and external stakeholders to ensure robust financial management.
What you will be doing- Analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with IT and Finance teams (and Talent team where applicable) to define system requirements, evaluate vendor solutions, and oversee successful deployment.
- Develop and implement strategies for working capital management and capital allocation.
- Develop and implement financial reporting processes to enhance transparency and decision-making.
- Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, corporate policies and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
- Ensure seamless integration of ERP with existing financial systems and processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
- Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance governance.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead the selection and implementation of ERP systems to enhance financial reporting, operational efficiency and data management.
- Lead and improve financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and audit functions.
- Support long-term financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting and investment analysis.
- Support financial transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations and process improvements.
- Strengthen internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Legal, and Talent, to align financial objectives with business goals.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Develop and mentor Finance team members to build a high-performing finance function.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Experience in the AEC industry or a project-based professional services environment.
- Proven track record of leading financial strategy, FP&A and financial operations.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, IFRS, and tax laws in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
- Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional teams in a complex, multi-country environments.
- Hands-on experience in ERP systems, including selection, implementation, and financial process automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA is required.
- Extensive knowledge of financial compliance, risk management and corporate governance.
- Ability to develop and execute financial strategies that align with business objectives.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and scenario planning.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial data analysis, performance metrics, and business intelligence tools.
- Proven ability to assess financial risks and implement effective control measures.
- Experience in selecting, implementing, and managing ERP systems to streamline financial operations and enhance reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights to executives.
- Ability to address financial challenges, develop practical solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
