Operational Risk Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to lead the risk management function. The role owns the enterprise risk framework end to end, works closely with senior management, and serves as the registered Risk Management Officer with the Capital Markets Authority.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the enterprise risk management framework and risk appetite statement
• Own and update the risk register, conduct risk assessments across all departments, and track mitigation plans to closure
• Lead Business Impact Analysis, business continuity planning, and periodic testing
• Prepare risk reports for senior management, the Risk Committee, and the Board
• Ensure ongoing compliance with CMA regulatory requirements related to risk management
• Coordinate with internal audit, compliance, and external regulators during reviews and inspections
• Promote risk culture and deliver risk awareness across the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management within a CMA-licensed entity, bank, or financial services company, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity
• CISI Risk in Financial Services certificate (mandatory for CMA registration)
• CISI CMA Kuwait Rules and Regulations certificate (mandatory for CMA registration)
• Candidates currently registered with the CMA as Risk Management Officer, or previously registered, will be given priority
• Additional risk credentials (FRM, PRM, ISO 31000) are an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Kuwait CMA Law No. 7 of 2010 and its Executive Bylaws
• Fluent English and Arabic, written and spoken
