The Financial Controller – Senior Manager owns the integrity of financial reporting, controls, and compliance for the company operations. The role partners with commercial, supply chain, and manufacturing leadership to safeguard assets, drive cost discipline, and ensure statutory and Group reporting standards are met across a fast-moving FMCG environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate, timely financial statements in line with IFRS and Group policy.
- Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls across revenue, procurement, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Oversee statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance with Kuwaiti law and Ministry of Commerce/Finance requirements.
- Manage standard costing, margin analysis, and variance reporting for manufacturing and distribution operations.
- Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and business-case evaluation for new products, pricing, and capex.
- Drive working-capital discipline: inventory valuation, receivables control, and cash-flow forecasting.
- Lead, coach, and develop the controlling and accounting team; build succession and technical capability.
- Act as the primary finance liaison for external auditors, tax authorities, and Group finance during reviews and audits.
- Identify and drive process automation and ERP (SAP/Oracle) improvements to strengthen reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Support Right-Sizing and cost-optimization initiatives with data-driven financial analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS &
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or CMA strongly preferred.
- 10–14 years of progressive finance experience, including 3+ years in a controller or senior finance leadership role.
- FMCG, food manufacturing, or consumer goods industry experience required.
- Strong command of IFRS, Kuwaiti tax/regulatory framework, and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
- Hands-on ERP experience (SAP preferred); advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Proven people-leadership experience managing multi-level finance teams.
