Under the supervision of the Pest Management Supervisor, the Pest Controller Lead is responsible for overseeing pest control operations in Kuwait to support LOGCAP.
Responsibilities- Assigns work and oversees work being accomplished by Pest Controllers.
- Assures safety practices are followed.
- Manages residential, commercial, and industrial pest management services and the safe operation of industry equipment for LOGCAP V AOR.
- Applies controlled and non‑controlled pesticides and herbicides within legal regulations.
- Coordinates inspections with facility managers and occupants.
- Researches materials and prepares necessary documents.
- Responds to emergency service calls during regular hours or after‑duty on‑call hours.
- Adapts to program or company changes; the position description is subject to change at any time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education if a degree is required.
- U.S. citizenship.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English.
- Valid current DoD or State Pesticide Applicator License.
Experience: Minimum of two years in the Pest Control field.
Skills: Excellent communication and people skills; proficient in using computer‑automated systems to perform assigned duties.
Working ConditionsMust be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120°F, in indoor or outdoor environments with very adverse and harsh conditions. Typical climate ranges from 30°F in winter to 130°F in summer. Industrial production environment conditions also may be encountered.
Physical RequirementsLight work:
Exerting up to 20lbs of force occasionally, up to 10lbs of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated light. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in some situations, including head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protection.
Must comply with all fire and safety regulations and posted policies.
