- Troubleshoot and repair KC-130J airframe, powerplant, and supporting systems in accordance with KC-130J MIMs/MRCs and applicable directives.
- Perform maintenance, inspection, and testing on landing gear, flight controls, hydraulics, engines, propellers, fuel, pneumatic, ECS, avionics, survival equipment, and related subsystems.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections (special, hourly, conditional, phase/isochronal) and document all work accurately in maintenance information systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and support equipment in line with tool control and safety programs.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, diagrams, schematics, and IPBs; research and order required parts.
- Perform O- and I-level maintenance on In-Flight Refueling Systems and tire & wheel rebuilds.
- Inspect and treat corrosion using approved procedures.
- May perform additional duties and limited supervisory tasks to meet program requirements.
- Proficient with computers, aircraft diagnostic/debrief systems (e.g., DTADS), and electronic maintenance information systems.
- Work may occur in office, hangar, flight line, or outdoor environments, including inclement weather, dust, wind, varying temperatures, and high-noise areas (hearing protection required).
- Frequent sitting and reaching; other physical demands typical of aircraft maintenance.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW/DoD Secret clearance.
