Generator Technician Secret Clearance

EPP III Generator 3 - 150KW and HVAC Technician Kuwait Perform troubleshooting diagnostics maintenance and services on all types of military and commercial generators and HVAC systems used by the U S Army to include the 150kW EPP III generators MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Generator and HVAC Mechanic the work you ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Worldwide Field Support contract for the U S Army You ll play a crucial role in providing on-site technical and maintenance assistance analyzing complex technical problems and providing training to site operations and maintenance personnel

Perform maintenance and sustainment support on 3kW to 150kW 500 0hz generators involving installation and removal of generators from fixed and mobile locations troubleshoots and repair alternating current AC systems direct current DC systems electronic control systems and other program logic controls electrical wiring and accessories

Troubleshoot and repair HVAC Chillers and Environmental Control Units some are standalone units and others are mounted on trailers and vehicles

Maintain all types of commercial power generation equipment military spec generators and Uninterrupted Power Systems UPS Operate a Load bank during testing Fabricate wire harnesses and solder terminals Some work will be in a generator shop environment and some work will be in a field environment

• Education High School diploma
• Experience BA BS plus 2 years experience
• Experience AA AS plus 4 years experience
• Experience or a High School diploma and 7 years experience

• Technical skills Extensive diesel generator experience
• Technical skills Knowledge of generator parallel systems and switch gear
• Technical skills Experience with brazing copper tubing and evacuating and recharging refrigerant

• Security Clearance Secret

• Travel to Bahrain UAE Saudia Arabia Kuwait Jordan Iraq

• Role requirements US passport must not expire for at least 2 years valid US driver s license and an international driver s permit AAA

• Skills Generator Repair HVAC Repair Troubleshooting Generator Troubleshooting Power Generation Certifications Section 608 Technician Certification EPA is a plus
  
  Must meet CRC fitness standards for deployment to SWA southwest Asia and maintain those standards annually while on contract in SWA
