Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment used in construction or related operations. This role requires the ability to operate a variety of machines, such as bulldozers, graders, excavators, front-end loaders, backhoes, cranes and more. The Heavy Equipment Operator also has the responsibility of ensuring compliance with safety regulations and reporting any hazardous conditions or incidents to the supervisor or manager.

Tasks:

Operate heavy equipment in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer instructions
Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as lubricating and refuelling
Monitor job sites for hazards while operating equipment
Load and unload materials onto trucks or trailers
Inspect all equipment before use to ensure proper working order
Adhere to all federal, state and local laws
Follow directions from supervisors/managers
Operate heavy machinery according to established guidelines

Skills:

Ability to read gauges/dashboards accurately
Proficiency with various types of heavy equipment
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently
Good physical strength
Attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Flexible schedule

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience operating heavy machinery
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be eligible to work in Al-Kuwait
