Mercury Racing Inboard Engines Specialist

Fahad AlSabih General Trading Co. W.L.L. is hiring an experienced Mercury Racing Inboard Engines Specialist for its marine service operations in Kuwait.

Applicants may be based anywhere in the world. Current residence in Kuwait is not required. The company is prepared to support relocation to Kuwait for the successful candidate.

This is a hands‑on mechanic position. We need a specialist who can independently diagnose, dismantle, repair, rebuild, install, commission and test Mercury inboard engines. Direct experience with the Mercury Racing 1350 is strongly preferred.

This role is not suitable for candidates whose experience is limited to outboard engines, automotive repair, general engineering or diesel engines without relevant Mercury inboard experience.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults on Mercury inboard engines
• Dismantle, inspect, measure, repair and reassemble engines and components
• Perform scheduled maintenance, major repairs, component replacement and engine rebuild work
• Troubleshoot electronic fuel injection, ignition, cooling, lubrication and computerized engine‑management systems
• Use Mercury‑compatible diagnostic software to read fault codes, live data and operating parameters
• Read and work from Mercury service manuals, wiring diagrams, specifications and repair procedures
• Inspect and service transmissions, drives, steering, controls and related propulsion components
• Check engine mounts, alignment, hoses, wiring, fuel systems and installation quality
• Carry out engine installation, setup, commissioning and sea trials
• Confirm safe operation and correct engine performance after repair
• Perform workshop and field service at marinas and customer locations in Kuwait
• Record diagnoses, repairs, parts used and test results accurately
• Follow Mercury procedures and marine‑safety standards

• 3–5 years of hands‑on marine‑engine mechanic experience
• Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing Mercury inboard engines
• Strong practical knowledge of gasoline marine engines and inboard propulsion systems
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electronic faults without constant supervision
• Experience with EFI, ignition, cooling, lubrication, sensors, wiring and engine‑control systems
• Experience using computerized engine diagnostic tools and interpreting live data
• Experience with engine removal and installation, alignment, commissioning and sea trials
• Ability to identify root causes rather than only replace parts
• Ability to work safely and accurately in workshop and field conditions
• Good working English
• Willingness to relocate to Kuwait

• Direct hands‑on experience with the Mercury Racing 1350
• Broader experience across Mercury inboard‑engine models
• Mercury or Mercury Racing technical certification
• Valid driving licence
