Overview

Archer Western Construction is currently seeking a Common Laborer for the Central water Group / Kyle WWTP EWP, in Kyle, Texas. The Common Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor on construction jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects. May operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned.

• Perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor.
• Work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management.
• Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.
• Load and unload construction supplies around the worksite manually and with the use of equipment.

• 1 year verifiable experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold or ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Require the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Require good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
