Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This position will support the Kyle location (211 Elmhurst Drive Suite A Kyle, Texas 78640).

pThis is a full-time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

pThis position can be a level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience.

What does the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) do? pUnder general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participates in company-wide quality initiatives. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities pThe essential duties and responsibilities:

ul liPlan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. ul liAssesses health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history. liAssesses patient/family needs and provides teaching and other instructional material. liProvides psychosocial support to patients and families. /ul /li liFacilitates clinical operations and patient care ul liManages patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and records the information in the patient chart.
liFacilitates and schedules consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients. liTriages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient s chart. liAs necessary, facilitates communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinates services related to patient care. liAssist patients in locating available community resources. /ul /li liInter professional collaboration ul liActs as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
