Plasma Center Nurse - RN

Job Description

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under guidance of the Center Physician and Medical Affairs.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, educational screening, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of laboratory results (Serological Protein Electrophoresis).
• Manage donor adverse events and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing standing orders and arranging transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer unacceptable findings to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance.
• Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.
• Provide center‑level environmental, health and safety support.

• High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate–level recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified RN, NP, or PA in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State‑required basic IV therapy competency.
• Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Hourly wage range $33.44 – $45.98, dependent on qualifications and location. U.S. based employees may receive up to 80 hours of sick time and up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
