Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Kyle location. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday 8:30am‑5pm position with no weekends, calls, or major holidays. The level may be 1, 2, or Sr based on experience.
The role involves providing professional nursing care for oncology patients with adherence to standards and guidelines. Under minimal supervision, the RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, administers therapies, performs venipuncture, maintains documentation, and applies knowledge of reimbursement procedures.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instruction.
- Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision.
- Administer all medications/blood products using correct dosage and technique.
- Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained before therapies.
- Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, labs, consult protocol, calculate dose, and communicate with physician.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Level 1:
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
- RN state license and active registration.
- 0–3 years nursing experience, at least one in oncology.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
Level 2 (additional to Level
1):
- 3–5 years nursing experience.
- Oncology certification preferred.
Level Sr (additional to Levels 1 and
2):
- Five years nursing experience.

Physical RequirementsFull range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Standing and walking for extensive periods. Occasional lifting of items up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
