• Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction and support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register.
• Assign store sweeps, monitor and maintain cash register supply levels, and maintain cleanliness standards in the restrooms and parking lots.
• Maintain visibility of the exit doors for security and loss‑prevention purposes.
• Schedule and oversee the proper execution of appropriate meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements.
• Assist in the hiring and training of new Cashiers and take necessary steps for disciplinary actions.
• Thrive in a fast‑paced environment and work effectively with a team.

• Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable and reliable, able to work a flexible schedule that changes as business demands— including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Show an outgoing and friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and the ability to represent the store as a role model in interactions with customers.
• Have experience operating front‑end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Possess good communication skills; able to take direction, constructive criticism, and participate in a team environment.
• Be able to perform repetitive activities, multi‑task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Lift and carry product horizontally or vertically weighing up to 30 lbs., ranging from 36” to 24”, for a distance up to 3 feet for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Move grocery carts horizontally, requiring a force up to 35 lbs., for a distance up to 4 feet for up to 50 hours, using both hands.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers; proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills, with the ability to read, write, and count.
