Electrician ; 2nd shift

Position Summary

Electrician 1 is responsible for troubleshooting electrical systems, upgrading electrical devices and equipment, and general plant facilities modernization.

• High school diploma or GED required;
  Tech school certificate preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the electrical craft with some electronics preferred.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving history report.
• Ability to meet license requirements for Powered Industrial Trucks (Lift trucks, JLG’s, Scissor Lifts).

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical systems, including electronics.
• Familiarize with electrical systems such as PLC, DC/AC drives, motors, HVAC, and power distributions.
• Estimate, procure parts, modify, and install electrical equipment.
• Train associates of lesser skill levels.
• Run conduit up to 1" rigid/EMT.
• Use multimeter, ampere probe, and megger.
• Drive company truck to various Interface locations and supplier sites.
• Comply with safety rules and environmental regulations.
• Maintain awareness of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Lock‑out/Tag‑out (LOTO) procedures.
• Support Interface’s commitment to sustainability and ensure ISO procedures are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain housekeeping; take precautions to prevent debris from contaminating carpet during overhead work.

Lifting up to 40 lbs.; extensive walking; daily climbing of ladders and stairs.

Non‑climate controlled manufacturing setting. Work areas include electrical panels, power distribution switch gear, breaker panels, etc.; requires PPE provided by the company.
