The
Schedule:
This position may be expected to work above and beyond a regular 40-hour work week in order to meet necessary deadlines.
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The schedule is subject to change at any time based on operational need and at management’s discretion.
Travel Requirements: travel requirements will vary based on organizational priorities and operational demands and may be required periodically throughout the year.
- A valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained for travel requirements.

The Salary:
Between $80,000-$100,000/year based on experience.
The Accounting Manager will serve as the first dedicated hire in a newly forming centralized accounting function, reporting to the Director of Internal Audit & Accounting. This individual will help design and execute the processes that transition day-to-day accounting from individual dealerships into a shared services model. The role is a partner building the function, not just a processor of work assigned to it.
Day-to-day accounting activities include, but aren’t limited to payroll processing, sales and use tax compliance, and accounts payable. In addition, the Manager will partner with store controller’s to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting and will play a key role in maintaining efficient accounting operations, supporting internal controls, and assisting with special projects and process improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and document centralized accounting processes for multi-store dealership operations.
- Standardize and govern posting of expenses across dealerships on DMS.
- Contribute to the internal controls framework and risk-control matrix.
- Support new-store onboarding through a documented, repeatable playbook.
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for multiple dealership locations.
- Prepare, review, and submit state and local sales and use tax filings.
- Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and vendor payments.
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with maintaining accurate general ledger records and supporting schedules.
- Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation and responding to information requests.
- Monitor compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting processes and internal controls.
- Prepare reports, analyses, and schedules for management as requested.
- Serve as a liaison between dealership accounting personnel and vendors' accounting matters.
- Support special projects, dealership acquisitions, system implementations, and other initiatives as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll, employee, customer, and financial information.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, including multi-entity or multi-state work; automotive dealership experience preferred.
- Experience processing payroll and preparing sales and use tax filings.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles.
