Work schedule:
Monday to Thursday onsite with colleagues;
Fridays remote with flexible location to accommodate work requirements.
Materials Coordinator role responsible for tracking and closing direct ship orders, contacting suppliers, accessing shipping info, populating Trane Oracle system, maintaining purchasing attributes for parts in Oracle, coordinating tax exemptions, and other materials planning activities. Participates in continuous improvement by supporting, creating, and maintaining Standard Work Processes.
Responsibilities- Follow up with external suppliers on order acknowledgements, estimated ship dates, and shipping cost to close Direct Ship purchase and customer orders.
- Analyze and process direct ship purchase orders on hold.
- Ensure suppliers follow freight instructions.
- Support problem solving with suppliers experiencing delivery issues.
- Communicate obsolete parts to MDM team.
- Work closely with Order Management, Material Planners, and Procurement teams.
- Support On-time Shipping and Supplier Performance Measurement program.
- Produce and communicate purchasing documents to suppliers (tax exemption forms, other forms and letters).
- Support distribution of purchase orders and acknowledgements.
- Address requests from customers and Order Management.
- Other potential responsibilities as assigned.
- Support lean and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Degree preferred; relevant years of work experience in a materials coordinator, materials planning, or purchasing role considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong data analytic skills.
- Effectively communicating with suppliers.
- Experience with Oracle, ERP systems, or equivalent (highly preferred).
- Detail oriented, well organized, data driven.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel) highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Well organized with multiple priorities and tight time limits.
- Experience with material planning, purchasing, or sourcing (preferred).
Annual Base Salary Range: $36,300.00 - $76,800.00. Compensation Type:
