Job Duties:
The Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is seeking applicants for an academic year (9-month) tenure-track faculty position (at the rank of Assistant Professor) in Exercise Science with the start date of August 2026 (start date of January 2026 for qualified and interested candidates). Candidates with expertise in exercise science/kinesiology with an emphasis in at least one of the following areas
-biomechanics and/or motor behavior (motor development, learning and control - are encouraged to apply. Applications received prior to the first review date will receive full consideration, and the search will continue on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Under general supervision of the department chair, individuals in these positions are responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses and advising students. In addition to preparing for and holding classes, teaching involves maintaining currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment, evaluating students' work, assessing student outcomes, maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours. These individuals are expected to maintain an active, on-going program of scholarship appropriate to the discipline.
In addition, these individuals will provide service to the department, college, and university and are likely expected to provide service to the community and/or the profession. Other duties may be assigned by the chair or dean.

* Doctoral degree in exercise science/kinesiology or related field, or ABD with satisfactory evidence of completion of degree by the end of their first academic year
Preferred Qualifications:
* Teaching expertise in exercise science as shown by academic, teaching, and/or scholarship background
* Expertise in biomechanics and/or motor behavior (motor development, learning and control) or closely related field
* Evidence of an emerging research agenda related to exercise science/kinesiology
