Position: Instructor Pool - COMPUTER SCIENCE & COMPUTER ENGINE RING

Overview

Instructor Pool - COMPUTER SCIENCE & COMPUTER ENG/INEERING (Terminal (Fixed Term)) — Academic Staff. The University of Wisconsin–La Crosse maintains an ongoing pool of potential instructors for program needs. If hired from this pool, the instructor will be under the general supervision of the relevant department chair. The College of Science & Health (CSH) at UW–La Crosse educates more than half of all undergraduates through programs in the natural, physical, computational, mathematical, and health sciences.

Instructional Academic Staff deliver high‑quality, student‑centered teaching with applied learning, critical thinking, and community engagement. UW–La Crosse does not offer visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at hire and maintain work authorization throughout the term.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree, or, in rare circumstances, post‑baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate plus experience, can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position. Depending on the program, specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required.
