AtAFRYour Structural Engineers are responsible forthe structural design for new structures as well as existing structural upgrades. Our engineers design unique and challenging projects, and perform investigations to make expert recommendations to clients for various purposes.

Activities include site investigations, structuralengineeringand drafting for both front end planning and the detailed engineering phase for multi-discipline projects.

Principle objective

As aMid-Level Structural Engineer you  willhave Discipline Lead responsibilities aspartofmulti-discipline project teams.

As the Engineer you willbe responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers todevelop and design the structuralportionof projects, make design recommendations and decisions, and oversee the completion and quality of construction drawings, specifications, reports, and other project documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform as project lead engineer for small projects andlarger projects with little oversight, managing the production effort of staff assigned to the project in terms of quality, budget, and schedule, overseeing the work throughout various project stages – from conceptual, feasibility, and detailed design through construction.
  • Assistasrequiredin the preparation of proposals and marketing materials through definitionandwrite-ups of project scope and activities on past projects.
  • Establish project scope, structural budgets, anddesign approach.
  • Meet with client personnel toassistin preliminary planning andidentifyingdesign concepts.
  • Work with clients and professional counterparts to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, meeting, and/or exceeding client expectations.
  • Responsible for the design of structural systems and components for a variety ofcommercialand industrial facility types; ensuring the designs conform to recognized codes and standards, as well as client requirements.
  • Duties will include structural engineering, structural details, analysis and design, and writing technical and study reports.
  • Participate in planning, designing, or reviewing plans, working closely with mechanical, process, electrical, architectural, and civil disciplines to deliver successful projects.
  • Visits to project sites to collect data andto observe construction progress.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
