Job Summary:
Menzner Hardwoods is looking to hire a qualified Mechanical Designer at our Marathon, WI location. This full-time position reports directly to the Sr. Project Engineer and will support the engineering department with projects at all our Wisconsin locations.
JobResponsibilities Include:
- Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace
- Assisting with various Engineering projects
- Assist Senior Engineers with drafting, basic calculations, or other engineering tasks
- Collaborate with other team members on assigned engineering tasks
- Assists the manufacturing departments with Lean initiatives: collecting data, suggesting layout improvements, creating drawings, and designing equipment needs
Competencies:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, AutoCAD2D and AutoCAD Inventor
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems
- Organization and time management
- Takes initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience:
- Experience in an engineering discipline
- Experience using CAD and/or CAM software
- Degree in mechanical design or related field is preferred
