This is an opportunity with a true community bank that is deeply committed to local ownership and long-term relationships. They are looking for someone with strong ag lending experience (5+ years preferred) who understands credit and enjoys meeting directly with farmers and agricultural customers.
The bank provides solid loan and credit support to help lenders be successful, while still offering the autonomy to grow in the role. This position is open due to succession planning and comes with an established $25 million+ portfolio, primarily agricultural. Initially, the focus will be on getting to know existing customers, retaining those relationships, and identifying opportunities for thoughtful growth. The location offers a rural community-banking lifestyle while remaining conveniently close to La Crosse.
Qualifications- Strong ag lending experience – 5+ years preferred
- In-depth understanding of credit and loan underwriting
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to building relationships with farmers and agricultural customers
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and support portfolio development
